Creamy Garlic Dip and Dressing

This creamy garlic dip and dressing is rich, smooth, and packed with fresh garlic flavor. Made with simple ingredients and ready in minutes, it's perfect as a vegetable dip, salad dressing, sandwich spread, or drizzle for grilled meats and roasted vegetables.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup homemade mayonnaise or store-bought mayonnaise
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Mince the garlic cloves as finely as possible.
  • Add the mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, onion powder, and garlic powder to a medium bowl.
  • Stir until everything is thoroughly combined.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • For a thinner dressing, gradually stir in a splash or two of buttermilk, milk, lemon juice, or water until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to develop.

Notes

Optional for a Thinner Dressing
If you'd like a pourable salad dressing rather than a thicker dip, add a few splashes of:
  • Milk
  • Buttermilk
  • Lemon juice
  • Water
